Beach Waves & Hot Lip

Summer is approaching but don't worry you still have time to perfect this beachy wave.

Start with a volumizing mousse on damp hair. We are using Kevin Murphy's Body Builder.

Work mousse into your roots for lift.

Begin to blow dry. Use your hand while blow drying to lift your hair in the opposite direction of its fall to create body and lift.

Now for the curl. We are using a 1" curling iron for Evy's length of hair. If your hair is longer than shoulder length go for a 1 1/2" iron.

Taking random sections, start the curling iron in the middle of your length of hair... Direct the curl away from your face. Wrap the hair around the rod until you have about a inch (or two if your hair is longer) left uncurled. Leaving the ends straight gives you that undone look.

Continue this process all around the hair and remember it doesn't need to be exact and perfect.

Next you'll need a texturizing spray. We are using Kevin Murphy's Hair Resort.

Lift the curls and spray a few inches away from the hair. This creates that gorgeous beachy texture and adds a little grit to the hair. Shake the curls out using your hands.

Your new go to summer look.

Now you need a make up look to match.

There are many liquid illuminators, here is a great one to try. I squeeze out a pee sized amount, rub it between my fingers, than tap it onto my cheek bone. After that I softly rub it in with circular motions with my finger tips. I than allow to dry before applying contour/blush.

Here is the finished look; topped off with one of my favorite NYX pairs. Lip liner in NYX Pumpkin, and NYX Matte Lipstick in Indie Flick.

This is one of our favorite looks that we wear often. We hope you love it too. Xoxo Evy and Katie

For a quick and easy hair style we are obsessed with half top knots, a hair tie and two bobby pins and you're set.

We are loving this soft and sexy muscle T. So perfect for spring and summer. Find it at American Eagle Outfitters.

And we can't forget about these booties. Great for dressing up your jeans.

Super Simple Eyes

SUPER SIMPLE EYES

Here is me with nothing on my eyelid.

Next I applied an eye shadow primer all the way up to my brow bone. *Tip- You never want the eye shadow primer darker than your skin tone.

Next I took Peach Smoothie from Makeupgeek cosmetics, and in a "wind shield wiper motion" swept it into my crease. You can be messy here.

Next is super fun. I took AfterGlow from Makeupgeek which is a pigment. LOVE this stuff. It is so beautiful, and will glam up your everyday look quickly without being too much. I lightly wet my shadow brush, than lightly dip it into the pigment. I than lay it on the base of my lid only.

Once the pigment is dry, it is time to add in some drama. I took Frappe from Makeupgeek, and started at the outer lower corner of my eye, went down a tad into the lash line, back to the outer corner, and into the crease. This almost looks like a "C" when done. I did this back and forth a few times. It can look a little scary here. Don't get intimidated, and most importantly don't stop here!!!

Next step is BLEND.. BLEND.... BLEND!!!! I take my blending brush that either has nothing on it, or that has a little Peach Smoothie. I go in that "windshield wiper motion" back, and forth until there are no more harsh lines. This may take a few minutes, don't stop until its blended!

Than I take a big fluffy brush, dip it into Ice Queen from Makeupgeek which is a shimmery white, and dust it under my brown bone.

Now I get to line my eyes. I am currently loving Maybelline's Eye Studio Gel Liner. My tip for a thin, and a straight line is go in little strokes. Not in one big swoop. The smaller the strokes, the thinner the line.

Next for some mascara, and my brows. I will do a post on brows soon.

And there you go! Nothing too crazy! Something that you could master, and put into your daily morning routine! Let me know what questions you have!!! These eye shadow's are amazing, and can be purchased online only at makeupgeek.com.

XOXO- Evelyn

Bye Bye Brassy Hair

If you know me, then you know that every fall I foolishly color my hair golden blonde thinking that I'm over platinum. Only to realize every winter that no I'm not! I love platinum!! So currently I'm slowly lightening my hair and fighting gold tones on the way there.

So I'm going to share with you the best product to get rid of brassiness in your blonde hair.

Shimmer Lights Shampoo

The best part? You can buy it at Sally's and it only going to cost you around 10 bucks!

This stuff is PURPLE

To use this product, lather in your hair in place of your normal shampoo and rinse.
For extra toning leave it in your hair for 3-5 minutes. I'm definitely not afraid to see purple/silver tones in my hair so I left it for the full 5... Maybe a little more :)

But if you are not one for fashion tones definitely do not leave it on this long, it can turn your hair purple fast. If you are afraid of over toning it just mix a pump in with your normal shampoo.

After rinsing condition your hair as usual and you're done!

Here is my before and after (don't mind my crazy day off from work hair)

Thanks for reading loves! Xoxo Katie
